About the Brigade

The brigade was formed in 2023 as part of the expansion of the Armed Forces of Ukraine amid the escalation of Russian aggression.

After its establishment, the unit underwent initial training of its personnel: infantry, mechanized units, tank crews, and other specialists.

COMBAT PATH AND PARTICIPATION IN THE WAR:

July 2023 — the brigade begins performing tasks in defense and counterattacks in the Kupiansk direction (Kharkiv region).

2024 — Chasiv Yar, Toretsk and New York: The 41st Brigade held these directions in Donetsk region. According to reports, the unit inflicted losses on enemy equipment and manpower.

October 2024 — the brigade participated in the operation in the Kursk direction, on the territory of the Russian Federation.

In 2025 — the brigade continues combat and defensive tasks, supporting directions requiring mobility, quick reaction, and restoring lost positions.

Basic information

  • Full name: 41st Separate Mechanized Brigade (41st SMB) of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
  • Type: mechanized brigade within the Ground Forces of the AFU.
  • Structure (as of 2023): headquarters, 3 mechanized battalions, tank battalion, artillery group, air defense, reconnaissance, engineering, logistics, medical units, etc.
