Military Professions That Changed Modern Warfare Issue #7. Gunner: a force that is not always visible

When people talk about artillery, most often they imagine a cannon and a shot. But behind every shot there are people.
Artillery is teamwork. Some military personnel work with artillery systems, others provide communication, technical status, movement and interaction. Each performs its part of the joint task.
Modern artillery is closely related to reconnaissance, unmanned systems and communications. People, equipment and information work as a single system.
There is a stereotype that artillery is suitable only for physically strong people. In fact, attentiveness, discipline, technical thinking, responsibility and the ability to work in a team are equally important.
It is not necessary to join the army with a ready-made military profession. The necessary knowledge and skills can be acquired during training and service: first training, then working next to experienced military personnel.
Modern artillery is not just a gun. These are technologies, knowledge and coordinated work of people.
The main strength of artillery is a well-prepared and coordinated team.
