He wasn't looking for easy options. And not one of those who hesitates for a long time.
His nickname is "Phantom".
He talks about himself simply: without unnecessary words and without the desire to embellish anything.
His path in the army began after school - a lyceum with military physical training, further studies, attempts to find himself. Not everything came together at once: radio electronics, for example, turned out not to be his direction.
But he did not stop.
Contract, service, study at the academy - step by step he moved on until he understood where he wanted to be.
So he ended up in 41 separate mechanized brigades.
No loud decisions. Simply because he felt that this is his place.
He speaks calmly about the service. He says that everything is simple in the unit: normal relations, mutual understanding, everyone does their job. Without unnecessary stories about "heroism" - but with the feeling that everyone is standing by each other.
He performed combat tasks together with the boys. He says about it briefly: "we did our job."
And, frankly, that's enough.
He's not one to talk a lot. Even when you ask about some moments, he answers: "there are many of them, but not all are worth telling."
And this also has its own strength.
Because service is not only about stories. It's about daily work, about the people around you and about the decisions you make yourself.
There are many different people in the 41 brigade. Someone comes from civilian life without experience, someone, like "Phantom", goes a long way even to the brigade. But everyone has one thing in common - the desire to be in their place and do their job.
There is no need to be perfect here.
Here it is important to be ready to learn, work and bear your share of responsibility.
Because the strength of the brigade begins with a fighter.
From a simple decision - to stand by.
