Military Professions That Changed Modern Warfare Issue #2. EW operator: invisible protection of the modern army

When people first hear about electronic warfare (ERW), many have the same thought: “This is definitely not for me. You have to be an engineer or have a technical education here.
In fact, this is one of the most common myths.
Modern warfare is not just about tanks, artillery or drones. This is also a struggle of technologies. That is why EW operators today perform one of the most important roles in the military. They help protect personnel and equipment, creating conditions for the effective work of other units.
Do you need to be an engineer?
No.
A EW operator does not develop equipment or create complex electronic systems. This is done by engineers and designers.
The task of the operator is to competently work with ready-made EW devices, which are specially created to perform certain tasks.
During the training, you will be taught how to use the equipment, explain the principles of its operation and help you acquire all the necessary practical skills.
For this, you do not need to graduate from a technical university or have a special education. The main thing is the desire to learn, attentiveness and a responsible attitude to one's work.
A profession that can be mastered
Equipment of radio-electronic warfare is constantly being improved, so EW operators regularly undergo training and master new equipment.
In 41 OMBr, future operators undergo the necessary training and gain practical skills in working with standard EW equipment.
An EW operator is not a person who creates complex equipment. This is a person who knows how to use it professionally. This is what is taught during training.
