"Sheva": when responsibility is not words

His call sign is "Sheva".
He says simply: this is his last name, he got it from football.
Before the army, he worked on the railways as an assistant driver of an electric train. Work where accuracy, attention and calmness are important. He worked for a short time - about a year.
At the age of 19, he signed a contract.
"Somehow it turned out that way," he says.
He got into the 41st OMBr already with experience.
But he still started with the same thing as others: from working next to people, from the understanding that everything is visible here. the main thing is that everyone is responsible for their work.
Gradually - training, positions, trust.
"At first you are close to everyone, and then you understand that you are no longer only for yourself," he says.
And this "not only for yourself" is especially felt here.
He speaks restrainedly about his work.
"It was hot for them," he smiles, recalling the moments of working against the enemy.
He says that they were accurate hitting They said: "good work."
And he adds more seriously: when you see the result, you understand what it's all for.
Because you don't work alone.
And the result is also shared.
There are things that are remembered more than words.
Two days under constant fire. It was difficult to get out - the equipment could not enter normally, and everything necessary was taken with them.
"We sat and waited for the moment," he says.
This moment appeared when the driver drove in.
Under fire, under drones.
While they were loading, mines were lying nearby.
"It was not easy."
But they left. With damaged equipment, with a punctured wheel - but they left.
And here he speaks separately about the driver:
"He helped a lot. It means a lot."
In such moments, you can clearly see who is next to you.
And what you mean to them.
Now he no longer talks about himself.
About people.
"When you are together for a long time, you know everyone. And then it's easier to work. You understand who acts how."
They get used to trust here.
And put a shoulder on it.
And he adds:
"This is a big responsibility."
Not only for the result.
For those who are close.
Even in these conditions, there is room for ordinary life.
Football.
He says that when there is an opportunity, he goes out to play with the boys.
"At least a little to switch over."
Such moments are kept.
And they remind us what all this is for.
There are no loud words in this story.
There is a way.
From civilian work to the moment when you are responsible not only for yourself.
Next to those who go through this path together with you.
And it is from such people that the brigade is made.
The strength of the 41st OMBr begins with the soldier.
From his decisions, his work, his attitude towards others.
And from the fact that he is not alone.
If you are looking for your place, it can be here.
